Les Toupi’ART

2019_07_10_Jean_Michel_Dondelinger_NB_9

La Toupie can be used anywhere: at the office, in the lounge, the library,

the kitchen, the bathroom, etc.

La Toupie is available in all colours under the sun and lends itself

to being embellished with the work of graphic designers, calligraphy signs, lettering, etc.

With a view to pursuing this artistic journey, I met with artist-painters

whose work I really liked and who were all excited to get on board for the ride.

I would like to thanks these five artists for their contributions to the project, their enthusiasm and for the marvellous result which you can see below and which is soon be on display show in galleries, showrooms and salons.

Susanne SCHRADER

Paysages en mouvement

Susanne Schrader, born in 1968 in Münster, Germany, comes from the theatre. In 2000 she chose Brussels as her residence, where she has lived ever since with her husband and their two daughters. In order to diversify her artistic research, she enrolled in 2003 at the Academy of Fine Arts in St.Gilles and graduated in 2012. Today she divides her activities between theatre and visual art. The understanding of space is an important subject in her work: traits, forms, morphology, gesture, relationships and tensions. She proposes interior landscapes where the regard of the spectator can wander.

Luis Gonzalez

« I am a dreamer who tries to transcribe on the canvas what haunts my thoughts »

Luis Gonzalez is an award-winning Belgian artist whose paintings have been extensively exhibited nationally, as well as in France and Spain. The key themes present in his art relate to impermanence, the fragility of both things and time, and dream worlds that are imbued with Japanese tendencies. Gonzalez’ currents compositions contain texts that carry messages and are superimposed onto each other. The result is a colourful aestheticism that blends calligraphy, street art and illustrations.

Pol Ledent
Alliagesdesign-2021-05-08-186 recoupée

Pol Ledent was born in Southern Belgium and still lives there.

He first painted the landscapes of his region with colours which make you think of Van Gogh.

Later, he turned his mind to abstract paintings.

He is a real colorist who is expressing his joy of living.

Today, in addition to the fact that his palette and motifs are in demand by the fashion textile industry, several European, English and American websites represent him and his paintings are exported far beyond his native Belgium.

                                 Etna

Ghent-born and bred Nathalie De Corte currently lives in Liège where she teaches drawing and art at the Saint-Luc Institute. Frequently exhibiting her paintwork in Belgium and abroad,

her style borders on lyrical abstraction and is often seen to revolve around floral interlacing designs.

Les Toupi’Art provide a unique canvas for her artwork. The series of paintings that adorn the doors of the boxes read like a film sequence, with each image reflecting a part of the serial progression of the various elements.
